Micro-Speed Ultra Drives (MX/MV)
Looking for legacy MX and MV (non Ultra) models? Check out the Ultra model replacing them in each product line.
About the new Micro-Speed Ultra Drives (MX/MV)
MX/MV Ultra series VFDs deliver advanced features, high performance, and unmatched reliability for the most demanding crane and hoist applications. Every Ultra drive is rated for 60°C ambient temperature and 300% overcurrent capacity, setting the industry standard for durability. Models up to 5 HP come standard with built-in heavy-duty regen resistors—ideal for travel motions, load-brake systems, and worm-gear hoists. Designed for tough environments and critical loads, these drives ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operation. Models available in all 3-phase voltages 208 – 600V and motor sizes 1 – 600 HP
Micro-Speed MX Ultra
MX Ultra series VFDs are ideal for open-loop applications. Hoist models “-UH” are used for load-brake, worm-gear, conical/pull rotor, and other hoisting applications with secondary means of controlled braking. Travel models “-U” are used for gantry, trolley, tractor, rotate, mobile drive, conveyors, pumps, and more! Built for versatility and durability, the MX Ultra Series delivers smooth, dependable operation across a wide range of industrial uses.
Micro-Speed MV Ultra
MV Ultra series VFDs are designed for closed-loop applications that require an encoder for precise motor control. Hoist models (“-UH”) are used in hoisting applications without a secondary means of controlled braking, where full motor control is critical for safety and performance. Both Hoist (“-UH”) and Travel (“-U”) models use encoder-based closed-loop vector control to deliver smooth, accurate motor response and positioning. Ideal for demanding motion control tasks, the MV Ultra Series ensures high precision and reliability.
