About the Micro-Speed® MV-Ultra® Models:

The Micro-Speed® MV-Ultra® models are closed-loop vector drives generally used in hoisting/lifting applications without a mechanical load brake, and for travel motions** requiring precise speed control of up to 6000:1. They use encoder feedback for vector motor control, hoist safety routines, and precise speed control. Models are available in sizes ranging from 1-600 HP (up to 1200 HP with Power Pairing™) and with all 3-phase voltages.

**Notice for traverse applications:

If you have a traverse application that requires ultra-precise positioning (and are NOT using servo-type motors), this unit can be purchased as a travel model.

A traverse version of this unit removes the “H” suffix from the model number, and travel parameters will be pre-programmed into the unit. Also, a travel-sized resistor should be used instead of a hoist model as shown on this page.

To request a travel version of this drive, simply let us know that the unit will be used in a traverse application when requesting your quote.
