MV-Ultra™ units are closed-loop vector drives – generally used for hoists without a mechanical load brake or for travel motions requiring precise speed control of up to 6000:1. These models use encoder feedback for vector motor control, hoist safety routines, and precise speed control. Models available in all 3-phase voltages (208-600V) and can be used in applications up to 1200HP with PE Power-Pairing™.

Where are the traverse closed-loop models?
If you have a traverse application that requires ultra-precise positioning (but are NOT using servo-type motors), the MV-Ultra™ closed-loop drives can be programmed for travel applications. Start by finding the hoist model that has the correct voltage and amp rating in the tables below. Then when you add that drive to your quote request, be sure to let us know that the unit will be used in a traverse application.

About the Micro-Speed® MV-Ultra™ Models:
The Micro-Speed® MV-Ultra™ models are closed-loop vector drives generally used in hoisting/lifting applications without a mechanical load brake, and for travel motions requiring precise speed control of up to 6000:1.
